BACH Guitars, anybody know anything?

A collector friend of mine just bought a Tele style bass from these guys and is totally raving about the quality (given that the guitar was just over the £200 mark) says they are at least on-par with a new Fender that would cost at least three times as much. Thinking about buying one, anybody heard of them. Not shilling, I promise.

Here's a tele forum thread on them. Sounds like customer service sucks a little and in some cases people received poor quality instruments. At that price point, there are some good Squiers out there. Or you could just go all the way down and get a Rondo.
