this is some of the best home recording advice i've seen, super focused on being pragmatic, limiting options, and not spending a lot of money...love this site

Uhm, I looked at the page and the tips consist of stuff like "avoid clipping when recording", "play around with the settings when multi-tracking an instrument", "cheap gear can be good too when it's used well"... IMO these tips are kinda obvious when you (have to) get into recording and are creative enough... hardly a "Revolution".

What's the deal with these Internet recording gurus anyway?

i think to the extent that those things alone are so frequently ignored it probably needs to be restated as often as possible
