Duos

One thing that has seemed to change playing in a rock band now to say in the 90s is how many rock 'duos' with a drummer and usually a guitarist. This is outside the acoustic duos, as there are groups that go that way. Doesn't seem to be as much call for original music in that acoustic format,it is more a cover gig although it kind of depends on the town. It seems in a live setting most of these rock bands go two ways, they just sound thin and have a problem filling the space or they go for overkill with the volume and try to melt faces.
