never bought armagnac, having only had fairly rustic stuff bought by others

cognac probably buy three or four bottles a year, remy vsop, new or old edition, then courvoisier, not had hennessy or martel in a while, don't buy vs or less (vsop or xo best price/quality)

i'm an armagnac noob but i was stuck by the commonalities between the (decent) bottle of armagnac i bought and good, middle-aged bourbon.

if i could get barrel-proof armagnac for <$100 i'd be all over it.
