Let's have a war - NOW

I was, like most right-thinking people bitterly opposed to a war on Iraq, thinking the reasoning specious at best, and downright malicious at worst. I failed to see what bombing the living bejaysus out of a secular nation would do to combat the insidious threat of global terrorism. I feared the worrying evangelism of Blair n' Bush, believing their rhetoric to carry echoes of the fundamentalsim they stood to oppose.
Not any more.
Having viewed the Brit awards, and listened to the subsequent fawning ovations on the running sewer that is pop-radio in general with particular sneering reserved for the incisive fawning of Radio 1's Newsbeat I have drawn different conclusions. The witless posturing of tedio-droids Coldplay and the Ms Dynamite, the cheap voicing of sentiments with no grounding in logic, and the subsequent echoing cheers of the assembled ranks of our parochial music industry have driven me into the opposing camp. If Jo Whiley and Sara Cox are against something then I am violently Pro. I no longer care about the complex arguments surrounding intervention in the Middle East. The tossers are against it, start bombing the fuckers now.

Personally I'd be much happier if we bombed London. Then we could wipe out all of those "artists" that dared to dirty my senses and I'd be a much happier bunny.

There is a term, heliotropism, that relates to plants moving to establish their access to light.
Politicians and public figures act/react in the same way.

And, sometimes, with equal or similar intelligence.

And, alas, fruitful.

In order to make this thread grammatically correct, I offer a " . " in trade for an " l ".

TWITS!! the war ended weeks ago. it's just a question now of doling out the footage for maximum tv ratings/ad income/opinion poll bump up. DO YOU REALLY THINK THE US WOULD ACKNOWLEDGE FIGHTING A WAR IT HADN'T ALREADY WON????

Let's not be too hasty. I mean, George Michael had a 3 minute slot on channel 5 railing against Blair and the war. That's GEORGE MICHAEL no less.

On second thoughts, perhaps the term "railing against" was a bit strong. It was more like he had a very strong moan about the prospect of war, and expressed a slight disappointment in Tony Blair.
Still. You know - George Michael!!!

Pretty much. Less well known is John Prescott's unheralded cameo in "Days of Thunder", he played the thunder.
