Are you attractive to a certain typo?

As the editor of a magazine devoted to basic arithmetic, I've often received favourable attention from 'parellel'. The problem is, I basically prefer 'wierd'!

try "parallel" or "weird"- editors need to be able to spell or employ that cute little spellchecker thing. It's only the rest of us who are allowed to spell that badly. Though you may be American, in which case we know you can't spell anyway..

Weebleman (StillSimon), Sunday, 10 November 2002 10:28 (twenty-three years ago)

But “parallel” and “weird” aren’t typos, young Weeble-me-lad – unless, of course, one is trying to type “apothegm” and “hypocaust”.

Personally I receive a great deal of unsolicited attention from “seperate”. How can I make it understand that I want to be just friends?

Also, far from being American, MaryAnn is slugging it out with Duane Zarakov for the title of Greatest Living New Zealander. And one day we shall establish which of them it was who contributed to the old Ask A Drunk as “L Portobello”.

Rex (Rex), Sunday, 10 November 2002 12:33 (twenty-three years ago)

I clearly owe MaryAnn a big apology- sorry for suggesting you were American...

and, I fear, even more as I may have failed to detect the irony first applied above. That bloody Sean has a lot to answer for- I have started assuming unknown posters are stupid Americans.

Its, it's clearly time to go away and whimper

Weebleman (StillSimon), Sunday, 10 November 2002 21:51 (twenty-three years ago)

Weebles, get some balls mate, stick by your posts, no matter how wrong/insulting they are.

Jarlr'mai (jarlrmai), Monday, 11 November 2002 00:23 (twenty-three years ago)

And, to be fair, you did get the wrong end of the stick entirely, in fact, she was holding a stick, you were holding a bus.

Matt (Matt), Monday, 11 November 2002 00:30 (twenty-three years ago)

"I have started assuming unknown posters are stupid Americans."
As a stupid American, I resent that remark.

Zen Clown (Zen Clown), Monday, 11 November 2002 03:20 (twenty-three years ago)

Oh well, achieved something then

Weebleman (StillSimon), Monday, 11 November 2002 10:09 (twenty-three years ago)

Still not cured cancer though have you. For shame, for shame . . .

Lynskey (Lynskey), Monday, 11 November 2002 13:27 (twenty-three years ago)

Pay attention man, he did that a couple of weeks back. In fact "Dr Si" pioneered the "optimistic absolutism" technique, wherein one tells the sufferer that it'll probably all work out for the best.

Matt (Matt), Monday, 11 November 2002 23:49 (twenty-three years ago)

I presumed Zen Clown lived in Iland...?

Pooster (pooster), Tuesday, 12 November 2002 02:53 (twenty-three years ago)

That, Sir, is an uncannily astute observation. I'd invite visitors but the harbors are closed due to the fact that all available personel have been on watch day and night, searching for a sign of Sue Denium. We would prefer a signal, a sign, a stab with a hatpin...We would, at least, rest more easily if her bloated, bleached body would wash up on a beach somewhere. (breaks down sobbing uncontrolably)

Zen Clown (Zen Clown), Tuesday, 12 November 2002 04:32 (twenty-three years ago)

(Note to self: Learn to spell.)

Zen Clown (Zen Clown), Tuesday, 12 November 2002 04:38 (twenty-three years ago)

three months pass...

I have appeared under a false mane. Does that count?

-- Aimless (aimles...), October 26, 2001.

I have appeared under a mare. Does that count?

-- L. Portobello (tedium200...), October 26, 2001

JS, Friday, 14 February 2003 00:14 (twenty-two years ago)

one year passes...
I am considered vaguely attractive by 'persay', but I just play hard-to-get.

C J (C J), Sunday, 18 July 2004 12:52 (twenty-one years ago)

You flurt.

Matt (Matt), Sunday, 18 July 2004 23:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Apostrophes do it for me

Weebleman (StillSimon), Thursday, 22 July 2004 20:46 (twenty-one years ago)

Ear lodes always do it for me.
