Personally, I'm going to the pub.

Matt (Matt), Thursday, 1 July 2004 14:09 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm thinking of heading down to my local too, but impersonally.

Michael White (Hereward), Thursday, 1 July 2004 14:45 (twenty-two years ago)

I might get some work done. That'd be a bit different.

C J (C J), Thursday, 1 July 2004 15:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, right.

UI've just been to the pub. It's still here. I'm now going back to the pub until everything goes away.

two weeks pass...
This all feels strangely familiar.

You mean you haven’t noticed the forum has been redesigned in a new, garish, deliberately jarring way – orange and mauve check wallpaper, harsh yellow fitted carpets, fluorescent lights that keep flickering and making noises, a mysterious smell of rotting spinach, and all door handles and other metal fittings thrumming with static?

Not to forget our new Line Manager, Barry, who'll be keeping us all in check.

Matt (Matt), Saturday, 17 July 2004 10:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Acually, what with all the ouzo ir preparation for the Olympics, I haven't even noticed whether I even have a pulse. Do I?

Michael White (Hereward), Sunday, 18 July 2004 05:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Ask Barry.

Matt (Matt), Sunday, 18 July 2004 23:14 (twenty-two years ago)

For a while I thought you wanted me to ask Zen with a stuffed nose but I got over that. Apparently Barry doesn't care whether I have a pulse or not. It's 6:30 sharp every morning or no wages.
