Oh, what fools these mortals be.

I wish I could come up with an intelligent response to that.

Zen Clown, Tuesday, 13 September 2005 09:15 (nineteen years ago)

I cannot.

I am a mortal and a fool.

Zen Clown, Tuesday, 13 September 2005 09:23 (nineteen years ago)

The bloody immortals seem pretty much like fools to me, too. It's fools all the way down.

Aimless (Aimless), Thursday, 15 September 2005 15:45 (nineteen years ago)

*sigh*

I suppose if I had a choice, I would prefer to be a mortal fool. At least I could look forward to an end to it.

An eternity of "fool", perhaps, might become a burden after a while.

Perhaps it is a blessing that most fools do not realize that they are.

(How about our President? Is he a fool or an idiot?)

........

Zen Clown, Thursday, 15 September 2005 23:23 (nineteen years ago)

Trick question.

Aimless (Aimless), Thursday, 15 September 2005 23:58 (nineteen years ago)

"(How about our President? Is he a fool or an idiot?)"

Perhaps the synergetic effect of both.

Zen Clown, Friday, 16 September 2005 00:37 (nineteen years ago)

The effects of both could make him a ""fodiot"" or worse still an ""idol""

Geoffrey Judge ( Ivor Feltersnatch), Friday, 16 September 2005 06:14 (nineteen years ago)

Oh what fools these mortals (b side)

M. White (Miguelito), Friday, 16 September 2005 21:07 (nineteen years ago)

Idiot, fool, fodiot, idol - whichever the case I have it on supreme authority, (from the most supreme itself), that he, in fact, is eternal -- like Brad Pitt in Interview With A Vampire. You and I are merely his unlife sustaining rodents.

rudeboy (rudeboy), Saturday, 17 September 2005 19:20 (nineteen years ago)

Your praise is akin to casting pearls before swine.

MSW (MSW), Monday, 19 September 2005 21:40 (nineteen years ago)

I cast swirls before pines once. They just stood there.

I felt like a fucking idiot.

I'll never flirt with a pine tree again.

Zen Clown, Monday, 19 September 2005 23:48 (nineteen years ago)

Only a Triffid would bend down and kiss you. Surely you don't want that to happen.

MSW (MSW), Tuesday, 20 September 2005 15:02 (nineteen years ago)

My existence is a finite thing, I have one life to live, and in this life I'm fond of pasting pictures of flowers on walls and watching said bees smash their heads trying to get at them.

Oh what bees these mortals fool.

Matt (Matt), Tuesday, 20 September 2005 15:07 (nineteen years ago)

"Oh what bees these mortals fool."

That was a good one. I...

(Zen? Leave it alone. The lad bested you.)

Perhaps I could do something with the Triffids, would you help? I can't think of anything.

(You could stop watering them. They won't return your love, no matter what you do.)
