ESTEBAN BUTTEZ~!!, Tuesday, 1 November 2005 04:21 (nineteen years ago)

Would you care for a jar of this concoction, dear boy? You almost sound comprehensible. What were you thinking?

M. White (Miguelito), Tuesday, 1 November 2005 04:48 (nineteen years ago)

A suffix without which the letter p would stand alone, nude and meaningless.

Matt (Matt), Tuesday, 1 November 2005 08:32 (nineteen years ago)

If the context of this thread is some rude reference to the late
George Bernard...I'll have none of it.

Zen Clown, Tuesday, 1 November 2005 10:38 (nineteen years ago)

Were you offered something? I sit here waiting to be offered it too, but nothing comes my way. I'd like to say I could refuse it too, have none of it even, but I just don't know. *thumbs a-twidling*

MSW (MSW), Tuesday, 1 November 2005 16:41 (nineteen years ago)

Other Shavian precursors would include rick, fan and scrim.

Aimless (Aimless), Tuesday, 1 November 2005 17:19 (nineteen years ago)

Are you shaw that's all, Aimless?

M. White (Miguelito), Tuesday, 1 November 2005 17:24 (nineteen years ago)

Maybe we are holding this up by the wrong end. Suppose Mr. Buttez were inquiring about the metaphysics of SHAW SHAW SHAW. What then?

Aimless (Aimless), Tuesday, 1 November 2005 18:09 (nineteen years ago)

Perhaps he was enquiring as to whether or not it is permissible to add an S to one's laughter when at Ascot. My feelings on this are ambiguous at best, I fear.

Matt (Matt), Tuesday, 1 November 2005 19:06 (nineteen years ago)

I say. More champagne for my friend, Matt, here. I want his feelings as unambiguous as possible. We should, however, as a precaution, prevent him from getting into the Royal Enclosure with that hat on. It might cause some ill will amongst those without recourse to Matt's fantastic milliner.

M. White (Miguelito), Tuesday, 1 November 2005 19:33 (nineteen years ago)

no what is shaw

it is a question one that is simple

ESTEBAN BUTTEZ~!!, Wednesday, 2 November 2005 11:28 (nineteen years ago)

But do you see it has unearthed many other questions, all of which need to be given due weight and consideration? It doesn't do to rush into these things, the results could be disastrous.

Matt (Matt), Wednesday, 2 November 2005 11:34 (nineteen years ago)

Questions of such magnitude as to bear down heavily on the very meaning of life itself. Questions such as "Who's round is it?" "Mine a beer!"

Geoffrey Judge ( Ivor Feltersnatch), Wednesday, 2 November 2005 14:37 (nineteen years ago)

Ça cirrhose.

M. White (Miguelito), Wednesday, 2 November 2005 19:18 (nineteen years ago)

Perpelxed and puzzled, I am. The former from M White's post (I am not looking it up on Wikipedia, no). The latter from the suggestion of a question put forth with, "no what is shaw". It is a word jumble perhaps? A typo, at best? Consider some interpretations:

converationally - "Now, what is Shaw?"
exclamatory - "No!", and "What is Shaw?"
rhetorically - "No what? It is Shaw!"
vernacularly - "Know what is sure?" to which one might answer glibly, "Yeah! Death and taxes".

MSW (MSW), Thursday, 3 November 2005 18:08 (nineteen years ago)

one month passes...
is anyone actually going to answer the question??

Saddam the cab driver, Thursday, 15 December 2005 19:50 (nineteen years ago)

I can see you're a stranger around these parts, mister.

Aimless (Aimless), Friday, 16 December 2005 00:18 (nineteen years ago)

a stranger? whats a stranger? i dont recall ever being a stranger..but hey...theres a first for everything...right?

Saddam the cab driver, Friday, 16 December 2005 19:39 (nineteen years ago)

"Stranger On The Shaw" - Acker Bilk, if my memory serves correct

Geoffrey Judge ( Ivor Feltersnatch), Monday, 19 December 2005 16:20 (nineteen years ago)

Woof!

Great comeback, Goeff.

(You're showing your age, you know.)

Zen Clown, Monday, 19 December 2005 23:36 (nineteen years ago)

THX GEOFFREY

ESTEBAN BUTTEZ~!!, Tuesday, 20 December 2005 05:37 (nineteen years ago)

Sorry about the typo, Geoff.
