Things that go bump in the night

what is everyone's experiences with night bumps?

I heard a kerplop once, but I am less experienced with bumps.
Turned out the kerplop was my horse giving birth.
Very cute!!! Really amazing watching a tiny horse try to figure out legs.

If that tiny horse has that leg thing figured out, I'd like to hear about it. I'm having trouble with mine...

My night bumps are pretty much limited to me hitting the floor after I roll out of bed, trying to escape that rattlesnake I have stumbled upon.

Have you ever noticed that the faster the bed spins the further away you land?
I once landed on the bathroom floor, a good 6 yards away.
A triple Salko and a toe loop whilst air-borne added to the dramatic effect.

tiny horse is now not so tiny and rather leg agile ... however, I think he could relate to you on the rattle snake thing. Or at least the brown snake thing.

As far as the spinning bed thing .... I could never quite work out whether it is the bed spinning or the room. It would seem if I focus really hard on the tiny bit of light peeking out from above the curtain it will stop spinning momentarily. But the concentration is sometimes too much. This is when it seems the bed begins to spin and the room ceases. Still working on that one. Must experiment some more ....

We appreciate your deep interest in the scientific experiment you are about to conduct, and should you need any assistance we are ready
One thing you need to clarify as part of your deep and meaningful research is, like the water down a plug hole, does the room spin clockwise or anti-clockwise in different hemispheres??

My bed merely wobbles violently in spiraling figure-eights. Not nearly so bad as a bucking horse or spending time in a clothes dryer.

Aimless (Aimless), Tuesday, 29 November 2005 18:53 (nineteen years ago)

It's invariably my cats misbehaving.

M. White (Miguelito), Tuesday, 29 November 2005 19:23 (nineteen years ago)

yes, I could testify to that, Aimless. Bed spins, spirals and wobbles at worst end in nausia and vomiting. Falling off a horse can result in this and broken bones. However, I have found if one has a few ales before mounting said bucking horse the broken bones don't occur. Just the right amount of lager and I can even manage to stay on.

Geoffrey, that IS a very interesting question and has sparked my scientific curiosity into a veritable benson burner flame. It is something I have not considered before. Now. I am a southern hemisphere resident ... any northern hemisphere residents willing to participate in this exciting new field of research??

I filled my sink and watched the water drain out. I took notes and tried to observe it in a scientific manner.
Being drunk, I was reminded of Poe's "Descent Into the Maelstrom".

I became very frightened and left the kitchen.

I just glazed over and lost vision trying to read that

Geoffrey Judge ( Ivor Feltersnatch), Friday, 2 December 2005 14:59 (nineteen years ago)

That's all part of their plan.

Dastardly people.

Zen Clown, Friday, 2 December 2005 19:38 (nineteen years ago)

your bed spins at night, Thats kinda wierd. Maybe you should put your matress on the floor. I mean maybe it's simply the bedframe that's spinning. Maybe I should think this over? Especially over a few pints of lager, but I'm underage so send me lager at this address

I thought of starting Alcoholics Unanimous
If you don't feel like a drink you can ring a friend and they will talk you into it.
Anyone want to man the phone lines???

five months pass...
sms is apparently a much more efficient way of spreading mayhem ... I mean providing support for friends

StrangeDays (StrangeDays), Thursday, 1 June 2006 11:33 (eighteen years ago)

are the two things all that different?

((Censored)) ((Censored)), Thursday, 1 June 2006 16:28 (eighteen years ago)

'providing mayhem'

M. White (Miguelito), Thursday, 1 June 2006 21:25 (eighteen years ago)

Mr White ... that gives a whole new slant to P.M that I had not considered previously.

That could potentially explain Howard.

And many matters linked to the commonwealth. Who needs conspiracy.
