I thought that you meant speculum. In googling around this error, I discovered at least one site whcih broadened my mind ( not nicely). I think that it is cheering to know that no matter how stupid, or possibly bizarre we become, we are in not even in it with a prayer as far as competing with the real nutters is concerned.
Probably just as well.
