Japanese Death Metal

The music industry sports some deathly dull music in this day and age. Has anyone heard any good Japanese death metal lately? I think that would cause the change in the music industry we need.

You know of what I speak.

A change from deathly dull music, to deathly dull music in a different language.

happy careful they hone its edge. and just because. the noise is music, if you say so. to me it's just edge-setting. but then again, castrati set *me* on edge, so my taste probably just sucks. anyway, sharps cut, that's why they are. and that's why there are castrati. how better to hone the art?

the larger question is really the on-and-on. first cars, then elevator cars, then the dental chair; now you find it anywhere (to the tune of "hazel"). i'd cut it right out if i knew how. and, if you do, please tell me.

in the end, i'd much rather see death metal -- even if i look away right at the moment.

German death metal...I thoguht about it for a while. and to hear a gferman death metal band screaming out german. *SCREAMS SEVERAL GERMAN WORDS THAT HE CAN'T SPELL* Yeah, it would sound like a hitler speach.

You know what we need? Finnish death metal. This is my reasoning. We need something that is uncommon. The finnish don't do much for american media, if anything, so lets get the insane ones to scream into a microphone while playing awesome beats.

Actually, there is death metal from the scandinavian region. I don't know about finland, but there definitly is Death metal from Sweden, which is a very big influence in the modern american death metal sound.

Come to think of it...children of bodom is from finland.

one month passes...
There's a lot of finnish metal bands...
I wouldn't say that children of bodom is really death metal.
I would recommend bands like Torture Killer, Amoral, Swallow The Sun, old stuff from Amorphis and Sentenced..
If you're looking for stuff that is "sung" in finnish, then i would recommend Sotajumala or Mokoma, while they are not what i would say death metal...

Some people would call Children of Bodom "Melodic Black Metal" I try not to complicate things with the word "Melodic" the only exception to this would be "The Black Dahlia Murder." that is truely melodic. But other than that, I find that the word melodic is adicted to drama, and likes to cause arguements. ("YES! IT'S MELODIC" "NO! IT'S NOT!")

But it is all, essentially, folk.

Torture Killer are more twee than a picture of puppies eating ice cream, and as for Swallow the Sun....well, were I to say "Quentin Crisp"...
