I beg your forbearance as I step into this place, but I wish to say that "valid" has several meanings and your proffered email address is not used during the registration process, only if some unfortunate soul wishes to reach out to you and you have somehow ticked the box allowing said "valid" email to be exposed to public view. Then, you might be emailed from your profile page.
