"Captain? I'm detecting a wormhole in this sector."
"Are we in any danger?"
"No Sir. It seems to be selective."

You're just being silly. Stop it.

Matt (Matt), Monday, 10 February 2003 16:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Why would that be a problem exactly?

Weebleman (StillSimon), Tuesday, 11 February 2003 21:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Because this is an extremely serious forum

"Captain? Some of the crew seem to have a problem with silliness."
"Have you checked their bioscans?"
"Yes Sir, some of them seem to be lacking their giggle genes."
"Have them report to the holodeck and bring a feather."

Zen Clown (Zen Clown), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 02:34 (twenty-two years ago)

The giggle gene is a recessive gene, and appears only every fourth generation or so, those exhibiting signs of this gene (ties with cartoon characters on, a tendency to recite Monty Python sketches and the habit of ending every sentence with "as the actress said to the bishop") are to be taken from their workplace, home, the pub, the fucking cradle if they exhibit the signs early enough (i.e not screaming with abject misery at being dragged into this shitpit existence) and killed with acid and sandpaper. Try looking on the bright side of that you cunts.

If string theory is correct, there's an entirely separate UNIVERSE for it.

Pete Andrews, Wednesday, 26 February 2003 16:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Hey neat! Given the context, that ironic underline was, er, well.... ironic.

Pete Andrews, Wednesday, 26 February 2003 16:31 (twenty-two years ago)

It's like ten thousand spoons. No, hang on...
