The bottom of all toothbrush mugs are gross. This is a well known fact. The real mystery is how that brown-grey sludge gets in there.

I got rid of my tub during major renovations to my apartment in summer 2007, replacing it with a stall. It's safer and easier to clean – except for the mildew that accumulates between the sliding glass doors. I clean it with an old toothbrush.

Seat down. Towels over curtain rod.

I would love a new tub but when we remodel it we will likely just reglaze. Unfortunately since our house was built in the 50s there's now room for a fancy jacuzzi tub or multiple-head shower.

No toothbrush cup, just use a cupped palm.

Okay, that is freaking awesome. I'm really into cool sinks but again our cramped bathroom limits creativity.

susan i want to get one of those rainshowerheads that run until they heat up and then stop so you dont have water running between yr ideal temp and when you actually get in the shower. our shower takes a good 5 -10 minutes to heat up. such a pain.

I installed a pedestal sink. Elegant and damn easy to clean, except it doesn't leave much room for my things.

alfred i bought the sonic scrubber yesterday because our shower get gross and moldy within a couple of weeks and its impossible to get to some places:

havent tried it yet. im going to spray with bleach first then sonic scrub it a little later.

Pedstal sink, classic. Such a sink would force me throw out old cleaning products.

The best method I've found for cleaning the tub/stall is to spray it down with Scrubbing Bubbles every night, no rinsing, and then wipe down once a week with a scouring sponge. Very little effort involved.

scrubbing bubbles have never worked for me. i felt kind of betrayed the first time.

My bathroom is small, but I love the amount of shelves I got, and my shower curtain. I used to keep my dog in there while at work but now that we've settled in I trust him more and he has the run of the living room/kitchen all day.

I really love our bathroom but mainly because it's the first one I've had that has new fixtures and isn't old and gross.
