Holy shit! This is the problem with office kitchens, when they get really bad, no-one does anything because after all it's "not my responsibility"

Actually the last place I worked that had a proper kitchen wasn't too bad. With the exception of the microwave, which was foul.

My work kitchen is like the opposite of this. 3 or 4 months, ago, our building had some kinda sewage issue whereby it would back up into our kitchen sink (my office is on the first floor), and the first person to come in would be confronted with an awful mess of black sludge all over. I'm a bit late on the gettin'-in (10AM, most days), so when I hit the kitchen on those bad days, it would be spotless and absolutely reek of bleach. The guys who got in first did a number on the backup.

Eventually, we got the building sup to install a backup-prevention filter on the drain, so the problem is hopefully long gone.

my new office will have a kitchen sink. judging by the old office's bathroom, should get interesting.
