Green poop

Coincides with taking 20000iu of vitamin D for a week (fighting off a cold/sinus thing), fish oil (20g, 12g EPA/DHA) and Mucinex (1200mg twice a day). I haven't taken the fish oil in a couple of days, still pooping green.

I feel fine, but I can't figure out if it's a side effect of megadosing Vit D or the Mucinex.

green poop's common, I got it while I was using Metamucil...usually just means the turd is moving through your intestines faster, which can be a result of a laxative or diarrhea...or that you ate food with green dye.

kinda became an expert after I had blood on the toilet paper 8 months ago and panicked thinkin I was teh deads.

Most Americans have a vitamin D deficiency, particularly during winter. It's pretty standard to take ~5000iu a day to ensure that you're within normal levels (like taking a few g of fish oil/day). Some people are experimenting with greater amounts when they're sick or beat up from training/working out.

Vitamin D is important to our immune system, I started getting sick, and I'm fairly sure I haven't gotten enough sun lately, so I thought I'd try a high dose of vitamin D.
Unfortunately, it looks like bronchitis rather than a cold.

you'd prob just pee it out if you took a very high dose though. also why does it make your poop green.

One time back in high school I gave my friend a gallon of milk that I had colored green with food dye (we were "wacky" guys). He reported green poop as the result.

Vit D is fat soluble, no peeing out excess. That's why you can (theoretically) OD on it.

Also, not sure it was the green poop culprit.

yeah that's why I've heard it's not a good idea to take massive vit. D supplements. also, iirc there's a chemical difference between the vit. d you take in foods and the kind you produce from exposure to sunlight - the latter is supposedly much much better for you overall (moot point though if it's winter)

Although I do pee green when I take too many b vitamins. But vitamin pee is a whole 'nother ball of stuff.

Quite often my pee is bright yellow, almost fluorescent. Years ago I was told by a friend that this was due to muscle development. But this was the same guy who tried to follow an all tuna diet for a week, so pinch of salt, etc..

Vitamin pee is usually identifiable by the fact that it is intensely colored, smells distinctly of vitamin pills, and cost you a whole lot to produce.

All you need now is blue semen and you'll have most of the colour spectrum covered.
