I was such a fucking crybaby.

kkvgz, Friday, 1 July 2011 15:03 (thirteen years ago)

Big time. Still have problems controlling tears if I get emotional about soemthing tbh.

a fucking stove just fell on my foot. (Colonel Poo), Friday, 1 July 2011 15:29 (thirteen years ago)

Same.

\(^o\) (/o^)/ (ENBB), Friday, 1 July 2011 15:32 (thirteen years ago)

Although I don't get that emotional about stuff that I used to anymore. I think I'm just bitter now. Idk.

\(^o\) (/o^)/ (ENBB), Friday, 1 July 2011 15:34 (thirteen years ago)

Very much so. I remember being angry at (myself/everyone else) because it would happen so easily when I didn't want it to, and everyone else would act like I was being deliberately manipulative, when really I was so fucking embarrassed (and no more likely to get my own way) every time

sticky crisco (a passing spacecadet), Friday, 1 July 2011 15:54 (thirteen years ago)

blended haircrüt (absolutely clean glasses), Friday, 1 July 2011 15:56 (thirteen years ago)

Jesus was fat (dog latin), Friday, 1 July 2011 15:57 (thirteen years ago)

is anyone gonna say no??

Jesus was fat (dog latin), Friday, 1 July 2011 15:57 (thirteen years ago)

I was more of a sulker tbh.

Josef K-Doe (WmC), Friday, 1 July 2011 15:59 (thirteen years ago)

Nope. Thanks to comments from my parents like "No sympathy unless I see blood" (dad) and "Quit being such a creampuff" (mom) I soon learned the value of stoicism and emotional repression.

Something gave way about a decade ago and I got really soft and now I cry at sappy television commercials and sweet news stories about pets and if my train gets delayed and when I see pictures of friends' babies. I have a lot of catching up to do.

phantoms from a world gone by speak again the immortal tale: (Jenny), Friday, 1 July 2011 16:03 (thirteen years ago)

I wasn't a crybaby either. Crying didn't work for me. Glaring worked.

Fa la la (La Lechera), Friday, 1 July 2011 16:17 (thirteen years ago)

(ps like jenny, i am a softie now, but usually mostly for happy things, not "i want something" crying)

Fa la la (La Lechera), Friday, 1 July 2011 16:18 (thirteen years ago)

doglatin, i'm not talking about just being a kid who cried occassionally over kid shit. In my case, I think I was one of two or three people in my 5th grade class who cried over shit regularly and it was obvious from my 10 year old peers that I was disruptive to them.

kkvgz, Friday, 1 July 2011 16:20 (thirteen years ago)

i was definitely wimpier and more emotional as a kid than most others.

Jesus was fat (dog latin), Friday, 1 July 2011 16:23 (thirteen years ago)

don't think so. remember thinking other kids were crybabies actually.

sonderangerbot, Friday, 1 July 2011 16:24 (thirteen years ago)

definitely not.

on the other hand, i was a little hothead piece of shit and would punch kids regularly. so there's that going for me.

bitch u ain't british (the table is the table), Saturday, 2 July 2011 02:26 (thirteen years ago)

Yes. I think it subsided after I had a nervous breakdown at 19.

corey, Saturday, 2 July 2011 02:32 (thirteen years ago)

I was a whiner, is that kind of the same thing? I whiiiiined a LOT.

Bloompsday (Trayce), Saturday, 2 July 2011 02:44 (thirteen years ago)

i am a huge, huge softie though have never been a crybaby. but i'm wired up all wrong i think. funerals of loved ones, 0 tears. movie where something sad happens to a pet i have to pretend to go to the bathroom so gf doesn't see me getting all weathery--though i never know when it's gonna happen.

arby's, Saturday, 2 July 2011 02:51 (thirteen years ago)

i definitely cry at books and movies now, and i no longer punch people that often, so maybe i'm mellowing

bitch u ain't british (the table is the table), Saturday, 2 July 2011 03:11 (thirteen years ago)

I used to get my butt smacked if I even looked like I was about to cry so instead I kicked holes in the walls

Serial Chiller (sunny successor), Saturday, 2 July 2011 04:08 (thirteen years ago)

Not at all

lemon kerrang! (jjjusten), Saturday, 2 July 2011 04:15 (thirteen years ago)

Only in line at Starbucks. (Free cookie.)

you've got great robot conflict (Eazy), Saturday, 2 July 2011 20:08 (thirteen years ago)

Not a crybaby but a very angry child

Number None, Saturday, 2 July 2011 20:30 (thirteen years ago)

If at all possible, I only cried at home. Not showing weakness to the enemy etc.

you're in the club and the light hits your ass like pow (Laurel), Saturday, 2 July 2011 23:40 (thirteen years ago)

i wasn't a crybaby, but i would take my proverbial toys and go home, largely because i was at least as happy by myself. /onlychild

mookieproof, Sunday, 3 July 2011 00:36 (thirteen years ago)

not only was i a crybaby, i was a crybaby with red hair, which is a highly unsympathetic combination.

estela, Sunday, 3 July 2011 00:45 (thirteen years ago)

do you feel suddenly ill?

undeɹrated ærosm?th b∞tlegs I have pwned (sic), Sunday, 3 July 2011 00:50 (thirteen years ago)

lol, yes a little.

estela, Sunday, 3 July 2011 00:55 (thirteen years ago)

I wasn't really emotional as a child, and even less so now. Sometimes I'd cry if I was spanked, and I was inconsolable at my grandfather's funeral, but I don't remember doing a lot of crying as a kid.

Alpaca Lips (Johnny Fever), Sunday, 3 July 2011 06:31 (thirteen years ago)

At school or the playground, no. But at home, yes.

At church I was a sobbing, screaming mess. Still am.

Jesse, Monday, 4 July 2011 14:39 (thirteen years ago)

only when battered, which tbh was a fairly regular occurrence. But not besides, and never now.

one month passes...

Fucking crybabies

Serial Chiller (sunny successor), Monday, 15 August 2011 04:43 (thirteen years ago)

;_;

estela, Monday, 15 August 2011 05:54 (thirteen years ago)

feel really bad for d-mac's post above. I denied my batterer the pleasure of seeing me cry much but I am kind of at my happiest when crying now: it makes me feel open, more present to myself.

don't cry for me, i'm already dead ;_;

10/11 of a dead jesus (darraghmac), Monday, 15 August 2011 10:20 (thirteen years ago)

"did something crawl in your mouth and die?"
"...it didn't die!"

Rameses Street (Trayce), Monday, 15 August 2011 10:22 (thirteen years ago)

my philosophy has been & remains "cry about it anyway, just in case"

pathos of the unwarranted encore (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Monday, 15 August 2011 10:22 (thirteen years ago)

A good snotty cry is so cathartic imo

Rameses Street (Trayce), Monday, 15 August 2011 10:24 (thirteen years ago)

Are you a disher or a taker?
