I've found myself doing it inadvertently/absentmindedly over the years when I'm standing around smoking a cigarette or something, but not in public with other people around. I didn't realize it had a name until my brother told me a story of a coworker who WOULD do it in public ALL THE TIME.

I don't think I've ever gotten a boner from doing it, but maybe my mechanism isn't as sensitive as other men. Mostly it's just "shift to one side, then shift back...repeat". More like a nervous movement such as bouncing your leg while sitting than anything sexual.
