because this is TMI -- the premise of the poll came out of:

bff: yeah (bf's name) totally wants it all the time
me: and he's balding, right?
bff: yeah, it's kinda hot
me: (my ex's name) was balding and he totally wanted it all the time, like it was ok to wake him up at 2:30am if for the purpose of sex
bff: ha
me: do you think it's because they are balding or is it just a dude thing?

let me see if i understand this theory, using the most advanced medical terms that i know:

the male body is packed with sex crystals that stimulate virility. these sex crystals can only exist in either head hair or in the balls. between the two, the sex crystals seem to prefer the hair, where their influence is limited. in men with full heads of hair, therefore, the sex crystals are largely concentrated (and wasted) in the hair, with only the overflow crystals making their way down to the balls. as men lose hair, the sex crystals are forced down to the balls. men with no hair at all experience an overload of sex crystals that slither around the testes, greasing everything up and revving up the sex drive.

Surely "thinking about sex" and "wanting sex" are not the same thing at all. I mean, I think about sex the usual 17 times a minute like an average human being, but this poll said "wanting sex."
