Week 3: Who can get the most plus 50 post threads
Week 4: Who can get the most calls for them to be banned

this is a good idea-- for every week there should be like triple points or something awarded to superlative awards or like to super lol things like getting otm'd by geir or called for a ban by ned or something

i think week 4 needs to be approached carefully to prevent goatse-posting sprees and whatnot. maybe most calls to be banned WITHOUT actually getting banned?

as i said in the other thread, the big problem with this whole thing if it revolves around other posters are ppl's sockpuppets-- i mean i guess we know a lot of them collectively but grady and chaki have like 50 each for instance, and i doubt we could institute an honor system

You should have to REGISTER in one thread then, I feel.

i guess in the end tho it would be pretty suspicious if a poster no one's ever heard of starts showing up in threads otm'ing grady, so maybe it's not as big of a problem as i think it might be

good idea except i think being able to tally points i.e. "8 otms" and "9 mentions in the zing threads" works better than an ultimate winner of a week's event

tho extra points if you win a week-- or maybe a tiered scoring system that's constant over the whole thing, i.e. person x finished in 1st with 12 otms so they get 10 points, person y finished in second with 11 otms so they get 9 etc.

is there gonna be a regulatory committee? like, how will we know that people haven't missed otms somewhere?

i think you should be responsible for counting your own otms

you can c&p them in a special, separate thread to keep track

i think you should probably search for your own-- maybe have a separate thread where everyone reposts or links to otms/lols etc and a commissioner of some sort tallys them up/rules if they are valid

I think this makes sense. We could score it like Formula 1? 10 points for coming first, 8 for coming 2nd, 6 for 3rd, 5 for 4th, 4 for 3rd, etc etc etc in each round.

yeah i think that's the best way to do things

also i'm going to keep in good faith through this whole thing and otm things i would normally otm and excelsior things i'd normally excelsior etc and i think everyone should keep up the olympic spirit with me

that said i would nominate a week to be get in the good attitude thread but the only people that read 1p3 will be competing so it wouldn't work well

i like slocki's idea. gotta be in the tally thread to get counted. that way no one can cheat.

yeah and there definitely needs to be someone appointed to making the final decision on tallies and updating the scoreboard throughout the week, maybe a different person for every week so it doesn't get too tiring for one person
