something looks screwy

when you view a new message with no responses, and then view it again later after it has responses, there's a link that says "-1 messages hidden. Show all messages." And when you click on it, it shows the initial thread message (this one) again in the new replies section.

Kinda fucked up.

what user settings do you use reagrding view last X messages, and "Show number of unread messages"

It didn't work. Well, maybe that wasn't why it happened. I'm using Firefox & have show last 50 messages set... And on a thread I read this morning, this happened. But I haven't been able to reproduce it.

i'm pretty sure you are right, that it can happen, i just need to nail down the circumstances. also have you noticed the (later) links vanish off some messages at the start of a thread. wah

HA GOT IT! if you click (later) on the question (i.e. post 1) and then return to the thread, i.e. EXACTLY what you said.

i will attend to it, when i am working out why the (later) links are vanishing :-(

ha ha, it is only happening because i unilaterallt decided that it would be good to show the previous post, i.e. to show the last read message before showing unread. i'm pretty sure this is NOT how it used to work.

anyway, is easy to fix
