the only track released before 2004 is on this comp, and the very opposite of creepy. blissed out windy & carl type guitar drones. has tons of stuff on archive.org, too.

I've heard aidan baker, that james plotkin/mick harris album, jliat, and zbigniew karkowski. the rest I have no idea.

searing dronez in an early cluster fashion, frog noises, tribal drumming, a shortwave lady counting in german, this album has it all. but not in any coherent order.

thought that said FIDDLIN DRONES for a second. disappointed :(((

must be a typo on the cover, these /are/ fiddlin drones.

i dont like ragas (rhyne/ohms) or throat singing (cole) in my ambient, but these albums are made carefully enough, i guess.

'katzo' from the 'ohren des kaisers hirohito' comp is creepy enough. i cant find 'param' atm, which seems to be (marcus not michael) schmicklers ambient album. what i did find is 'onea gaku' which is an amazing fusion of krautrock & early rave amenbreakishness that would hit the ⋔ crowd like a ☢ if released today.

<3 <3 <3 'athlit' & 'the rustling of leaves'. this guy has released 1,000,000 albums that i will never find the time to listen to; this makes me sad. his stuff is not creepy though, mildly unsettling at best.
