An old dream I had....

I remember this old dream I had long ago. I don't remember exactly when I had the dream, but I know I was really young when I had it. Here it is:

I remember running along the arm of the Statue of Liberty in NYC. I was dark, almost pitch-black. I was being chased by the police, but I never saw them. I just felt compelled to run. As I ran looked back, seeing nothing but blackness. I reached the top of the torch and stopped. Then I simply fell untill I hit the deep dark water. The dream ended with me looking upwards to the surface. Then I woke up.

I don't know why I remember this dream and I never had this dream ever since. I would like to hear your take on it.

Dreams of being chased, especially by authoritarian figures, can show a fear of persecution or punishment. It can also represent guilt. Falling into water may represent a feeling of safety or comfort. Taken in these two parts, the dream could show a successful escape of some sort of minor trouble you may have gotten yourself into that day.
