Morricone has been done over on ILM so no need to mention him (but if you feel he's done some spectacular stuff in the past 20 years (and its still available of course)then by all means do so).

List some discs.

Prince's soundtrack for Under The Cherry Moon is one of the greatest albums ever. My favourite soundtrack since then would be the RZA's for Ghost Dog. The US/UK version has loads of added vocals and doesn't bear that much resemblance to what you hear in the film - the Japanese one is the genuine soundtrack. I think everyone should get both, personally.

It is a record label run by artemiy artemiev, the son of edward artemiev, who did the scores for tarkovski's "mirror", "stalker" and "solaris". They ahve a cd w/the sdtrk to these films available, though sadly not for the film "Urga" which is great, and has some really good music as well. They have losts of other electronic and electroacoustic stuff available, most of which is ot, but nevertheless interesting. The ANS synthesiser comp is really good!
