I guess this already came out in the UK, but I just saw a preview screening this morning and good lord. Talk about movies that drop your jaw, or at least it did mine. I haven't seen it mentioned here. Anyone else seen it?

I have yet to see it, though I'm sorely tempted to acquire the Region 2 DVD that is available at a store here in L.A....I have a region free player, so....

The worst film I saw last year. The first twenty minutes had promise, and then it dropped it all for a "people are the real enemy" plot which was ludicrous and uncalled for. Most of the acting was embaressing (Eccleston was just shockingly bad) and the lack of narrative logic was excrutiating - let alone the pointless longeurs.

Jaw droppingly good or bad?

Pete: With all due respect, you seem to be the only person on the other thread that really hates it that much. Of course, considering what else we've been offered so far this year, maybe my expectations are just too low.

True, but its an opinion I'll back to the hilt (for what it is worth). But as I say over there, it could well be that I had higher expectations, am bored by this plot twist - and perhaps bored by its particularly British beats which we get from UK TV all the time.

two weeks pass...
It wasn't as scary as I had hoped. (although i did scream when the little kid in the gas station showed up)

Cillian Murphy is ALL good with me.
