anyone seen this insane piece of japanese gore? i watched it twice this weekend - it's really fun to watch with other people - and was quite impressed. Beat Takeshi is actually a really great actor.

oh, i did absolutely love this one. endlessly entertaining and fun. that one guy was a complete bad-ass. oh, it was a good movie too.

Trailer for the sequel looks good too, there are some links to BR sites from ours at paper-jam.co.uk. BR2 is out in Japan soon and will probably be in europe in a couple of months, seems it won't get to America due to the terrorists blowing up buildings in the opening scenes.

I can't quite figure out what the fuss is over this. The violence isn't particularly creative (The Running Man starts from a similar premise and goes far more insanely over the top) and I can't imagine anyone taking it seriously (not anyone who's seen Hana-bi). I guess the premise is everything.

one month passes...
yeah ive watched it twice. its really good! i loved how my friend cowered and whimpered every time someone got killed... oh and speaking of the running man, did anyone read the book? it's better than the movie and....

SPOILERS

it ends with the main guy crashing a plane into the tv building to kill the executives. it better not get banned because of 9/11
