Calling all filmmakers

I was just wondering how many people on this board are actual filmmakers.

To date, I have completed three short films, but they are all on standby until I get a firewire card for my computer so I can complete the editing process. I worked on two feature films before that, but neither were completed due to the conflicting schedules of the cast. I have also done several music videos, and currently I am writing a screenplay which I hope to start working on sometime in October or November. I am also working as cinematographer for a short film an acquaintance of mine has written.

I've made three shorts (two DV, one 16mm), a 16mm feature, and I'm currently in post-production on a music video that we shot entirely on standard 8mm. There's also a lot of live video concert footage that has been accumulating for several DVD releases by different bands, though I can't say when those will be ready to leave the "vault".

I'm merely a professional appreciator.

One short (DV).

one month passes...
It seems a joke to call myself a "filmmaker" anymore as I haven't really touched a camera in close to a year, BUT...a half dozen bad DV shorts and music projects, four 16mm shorts (only one of which I can bear to screen in public). I worked as DoP on other people's stuff, too.

Very, very impressed by the existence of GS' 16mm feature.

Girolamo, do you know any good crewing websites aside from craigslist, mandy, etc.?

Not really, I mean my thing was pretty much a bare-bones approach. I've never worked for pay myself, so I can't really help much in that area. Actually, I think I discovered craigslist and mandy from you, believe it or not, via a previous ILx posting.

I would love to work for free (I used to, but...). But I just moved into a new place in a new city, and I have some bills to pay. Damn...

Might be useful to Girolamo or anyone else, although I know Mr Savonarola is headed off to London anytime soon.

Seems like it has some good postings, but I have to admit I hate sites where you have to register. Oh well...that's how it always goes, right?

And yeah, I might need some minor peripheral crew soon - I have one and maybe two music video shoots in the pipeline before I leave the country.

Yeah, there is one in the UK called Production Base that I signed up for. It DID cost a fortune, but I got a lot of work through it.
