Why AtomFilms Sucks

AtomFilms used to be a reliable source for some decent independent film. Over the years, it it has started to go downhill, until it finally turned into what I call "Commercial amateur film" (that's kind of an oxymoron, isn't it?) Anyway, today I saw what has finally convinced me to give up on AtomFilms and all the shit they promote. It's the series called "Ninjai" that they advertise so God damn much. I looked at some stills. Looked pretty cool. I went ahead with it, expecting a good martial arts anime, and what I got was total BS. Yeah, the animation was cool in some parts, but none of the episodes have stories (or at least ones we care about) and although it is obvious that they intended the main character to be monotone, it was a really bad choice. This was just the final straw after seeing so many terrible films. I'm just warning you, if you don't already know, AtomFilms SUCKS.

Well, where else are there good sites to view indie/underground/amateur stuff online?

I haven't found too many. Usually I check out filmmaker.com and indietalk.com, where people post links to their films.

OK, looking back on what I wrote, I just wanna clarify something. Not every film on AtomFilms sucks. There are some real buried treasures. But the site promotes all the crap, and makes it real hard to find the good stuff. That's what pisses me off.

That site basically is for "calling card" films, just for people trying to advertise their skills and get an agent, like those "George Lucas in Love" fuckers.
