Is the plot of "Brewster's Millions" Legal?

Maybe this should be on I Love True Crime, but I was wondering if the plot of this seminal eighties smash is entirely above board? Surely millions of pounds cannot change hands on the whim of a clearly deranged terminalist?

PS: Walter Hill's Brewster's Millions was actually the 7th or so film to bear the title; the first was made in 1914 and based on a stage play by Winchell Smith and Byron Ongley, which was adapted from the novel by George Barr McCutcheon.

We shall see if this legacy continues into the 21st Century.

Brewster's Millions -- the one with Richard Prior -- is easily one of the worst films ever made. Right up there with Deal Of The Century and Hook.

Brewster would easily be able to contest the will on the grounds that the qualifying covenant was unreasonable. Hoever said legal action could take a few years (looka t the Grouch Marx will trial) and would rack up a fair amount in legal bills. Who stood to get the money if Brewster didn't gurn and caper foolishly for an hour and a half? If they were not willing to contest it then it probably would be relatively simple. (Non disclousre clauses on actions are particularly difficult to back up).
