"Wouldn't that have been embarrasing if I had worn my goatee tonight?"

This has always been one of my all time favorites and I know most of it by heart. I watched it recently with two friends who had never seen it and they didn't see the appeal. I think it's one of those films you had to have been at at certain age and liked when it first came out.

if this were I Love Music there'd be 75 Will Ferrell jokes by now.

Not bad, but Elliot Gould's cameo is fantastic.

I was just thinking of this movie. Haven't seen it in years, but it used to be one of my favorites. A lot of OTMs upthread: I agree that Freedy Johnston song is terrible in general and even worse as a closing song; I too first watched this right after graduating college, so it probably hit home more than it would if I had seen it for the first time recently; and I agree the casting was great.
Speaking of casting, it seems like I haven't seen any of the actors from K&S in anything else, but I'm sure they're all in unwatched TV shows or indie movies or something. The only exception I can think of offhand is Josh Hamilton. Before "Django Unchained" there was a trailer for a seemingly-terrible horror movie called "Dark Skies" that has him playing the main character.
