And as a statement of your aesthetics and to assure those you'll be leaving that yes, you are a cineaste, you decide to spend your last hours watching one movie. What be that movie?

Either "lost book found" or, more likely, one of my own films.

I'd watch Michael Bay's Armegeddon and Tarkovsky's Sacrifice simultaneously.

-- a spectator bird (aspectatorbir...), March 7th, 2004"

you stole my third choice!

jay blanchard (jay blanchard), Tuesday, 9 March 2004 21:19 (twenty-one years ago)

jay, i only wish it ("anticipation of the night") was more readily available - i was sad that it did not make it onto the criterion dvd.

you can either go the expensive route & order a 16mm print rental from canyon cinema & do a transfer for yourself, or you can buy a dubbed copy from Subterranean Cinema.

yeah, i wish that Criterion Brakhage set was about 8 disks instead of two. it's still not the same as seeing the film prints projected, but the transfers were fantastic.

two weeks pass...
Well, not of any interest to anyone else but I'd love to see those old Bell and Howell home movies my father took of my brothers, sister and I, playing in our old back yard so contentedly, way back when.

I think it's hilarious someone would watch Bio-Dome as their last movie on earth.

For me... I hate to admit it but the only movie I could watch over and over again (and I know all the words to) is Interview with the Vampire. I think it's a tie between that movie and Punch Drunk Love. I love Barry Egan...
