i have greencine. it's slower if you dont live in california (i live in texas, it's about a 4-5 day turnaround)

i chose it because it had some movies that netflix didnt at the time. maybe netflix is better now, i dont know.

I love love love greencine, but I'm about to cancel it. Turn around time is jus too slow, and the films that they have that NF doesn't is not that big of a selling point for me now. My NF turnaround time is 2 days, with a shipping center in my town. I've got about 10 more films to rent from GC then it's out.

I use both services right now. Greencine has two huge drawbacks: the lengthy turnaround time (I live in the Midwest) and the fact that all of the movies they have that aren't available on Netflix are almost guaranteed to be waitlisted when you try to rent them. Once they finally get around to sending me a few more of the movies I've always wanted to see, I'm probably going to cancel GC too.

But I don't have a region-free DVD player...

chris, spend the 80 bucks and get a malata 393a. best decision of my life.

Thanks for the suggestion, but is there any DVD playing software that is region-free? I tend to do most of my movie watching on my PC.

yeah, my friend watches r2 dvds that i lend him on his computer. i am not quite sure what he has, but he mentioned that he has 4 different programs that play all regions of dvds, so i think that they should be relatively easy to find online
