Discussion.

I worked with a Sony HDC-930 (I think it was) for the first time this past weekend. Won't never go back to film!

Um, questions:

*backfocus
*low depth of field
*lower tonal range
*lower resolution

What about them?

I still make wanky films on s8 and scribble over them in post. I'm just like that!

The next movie camera technology is coming from NASA w/ some insane resolution so don't get to attached to HD! :)

We're barely working up towards 2K origination, while DI is now at 4K, and projection is about to enter 6K.

This is an arms race. I don't care to play.

What about them?

Yes, Remy, what about them?

Broad, open, discussion.

There's more to life than resolution. I still like Pixelvision, and I think I'll never get over some of the freedoms DV offers, at a wholly supportable tradeoff to resolution and a lately much-improved tonal range.
