Whats it all about ???
A question I am still asking myself, along with why did I waste so much time trying to watch it.
Endless drivel of aimless dialogue coupled with scenes seeming to last many minutes with absolutely nothing happening or even moving. The people who say it's a classic, life provoking, thinkers film are just kidding themselves trying to sound clever and have too much time to waste.
I would only recommend seeing this film if you have seen every other film ever released !!

I couldn't remember any other big-name European directors from that period who were known for being 'boring.'

What??I have just wasted over two hours of my life which I will never get back watching this film. Can someone tell me what on earth it was all about ?? Would it have helped if I was on drugs before I watched it ?? Please help!!
Thumbs DownA very poor film. Might as well of been a classical CD. No story, not much talking, why even bother making this film, I would prefer to watch Steven Segal act! It really is that bad.

To be honest, I don't get the point. Is this movie a torture device? It's easy to sit around, and lie, and say that the movie is a masterpiece, when it simply is not. For one thing, it's not even a movie. It's like an infernal slideshow. Weird pictures flit in and out in no particular pattern. I don't know why the heck they couldn't have filmed it.

this one for 'certified copy' made me lol recently:
I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered this film
I feel like I wasted my time.
I think I had expected something like Amelie

yes! sometimes I have much fun reading shocked reviews of films I have seen (or tried to).
Let me first state that I am on the whole a fan of Godard's work and was excited to see this movie, that having been said this is a remarkable film solely for the reason that this was the FIRST movie I ever walked out of. Ever. There was nothing in the film to keep me watching save the director's name. Fifteen minutes seemed an hour and by the half hour mark completely at wit's end I left. Not having seen the entire film I can't really rate it, but all I could think was that Godard was laughing at everyone still in the theatre; laughing at everyone that cites this pretentious unbearably dull film as a masterpiece, and proving that a well respected artist can get away with anything and people will still call trash art.

Was after quality superhuman martial-arts romp and that's exactly what I was getting but at a couple of points and with no consequence or relevance to the plot it appears that 'Stomp' or some other badly disguised West-End dance troupe are allowed to invade the set. Appalling. Totally ruins the feel of the film. There is a time and a place for modern artistic conceptual dance troupes in martial-arts films: nowhere and never...unless they get a fatal beating a few seconds into their routine. Feel very cheated as the film is good apart from that.
this game makes me want to spend the day watching movies

From a youtube comment - I spotted this a while ago and fell in love with it:
i hate this movie, it's the must ridicilous movie ever. do not watch it. a man is bleeding and have seen dead body's but he go's to a resturang and then die in a toilet. and the ''devil'' look like a octopus and when a man who died later saw that ''devil'' he just '' what is that'' and didn't run away like a normal human would do and he go to a dead body who was he's lover and just ''what have you done to him'' that's say much of what the movie will turn out like. DONT SEE IT YOUR WASTE YOU TIME

Feel a bit like a cheater myself, I omitted a sentence because I thought that since everyone here is a famous intellectual artist critic writer the film would be too easy to spot. Sorry.
Let me first state that I am on the whole a fan of Godard's work and was excited to see this movie, that having been said this is a remarkable film solely for the reason that this was the FIRST movie I ever walked out of. Ever. From the minimal subtitles that only proved to confuse and annoy, to the windy microphones so even a French speaker couldn't understand what was being said.

Nice to see these almost descend as far as the idiocy of Netflix reviews over here. What is it that brings these people out to play?
