I just saw him give a lecture (about cooking as art and its metphors) and it was great, and it included a film (repeated actions from unused takes of various ads) which was what I want film to be, and now I am going to have to go see his films, which are playing here this week.

Is any of this available on any sort of format? I'd especially love computer files, but is anything at all out there? Or will we have to wait until he is dead and then Criterion might consider it?

to my knowledge, none of kubelka's stuff is available on video.

but for $200 and a 16 mm film projector you can treat your friends to a kubelka "one man show"!

Well, it's a thought.

Does anyone ever rent a film like this and reedit it and send it back?

This lecture/film series is so completely great. Mmmmm.

Sadly tonight was the last night. But right now I'm thinking Pause! might be the greatest film ever made. I also feel that this feeling will pass.
