Saw this yesterday... I really enjoyed it. I'm not a huge fan of Daniel Johnston's music, but the documentary was really well done. It seemed to take a lot of cues from Crumb, but I'm not sure how much of that stems from the similarity between Johnston and Charles Crumb or how much of it was authorial intent. But still, such a great, sad, infuriating, lovely story.

four months pass...

I finally got around to seeing it. I have a Daniel Johnston tattoo. Its creepy on how similar our lives are except the woman I scared out of the window died and I have to write my opinions about music in prison.
