midget thumb wars

i recently saw a midget thumb wrestling tournament on public access via mexico city and was wondering, if perhaps, you could answer a question that has been bothering me.

The M.T.W.A.M (midget thumb wrestling association of mexico) bases its division classes based on thumb lengths and diameters and anything over 3.5 cenitmeters in length is considered "a big persons thumb."
well, my question is, if a midgets thumb exceeds 3.5 centimeters on one hand yet is less than 3.5 centimeters on the other hand, would they still be allowed to wrestle, even if the shorter thumb is on the hand that they would not use to perform said activity?
to me it seems they would have to instate some sore of handicap clause in the bylines of the club rules.
oh, an do you like fast cars? fast cars scare me, i like wagons.
