Well, I remember all the punks, and the hippies too, but I don't remember roxymuzak in '72. Er.. she seems nice though!

I think drugs are a personal choice.. for all except my younger siblings, of course! Sober? Err..

Perfect breakfast? Fried egg sandwich with cumin, bacon and chutney. Mmmm.

Finefinemusic, Friday, 16 May 2008 15:19 (seventeen years ago)

chaki, Friday, 16 May 2008 23:32 (seventeen years ago)

french fries with gravy
isn't it basically a NYC late night thing

El Tomboto, Friday, 16 May 2008 23:42 (seventeen years ago)

The dish originated in rural Quebec, Canada in the late 1950s and is now popular in parts of the country. Several Québécois communities claim to be the birthplace of poutine, including Drummondville (by Jean-Paul Roy), Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, and Victoriaville.[citation needed] The most popular tale is the one of Fernand Lachance, from Warwick, Quebec, which claims that poutine was invented in 1957,[5] when a customer ordered fries while waiting for his cheese curds from the Kingsey cheese factory in Kingsey Falls (now in Warwick and bought by Saputo). Lachance is said to have exclaimed ça va faire une maudite poutine ("it will make a damn mess"), hence the name. The sauce was allegedly added later, to keep the fries warm longer. Linguists have found no occurrence of the word poutine with this meaning earlier than 1978.

chaki, Friday, 16 May 2008 23:47 (seventeen years ago)

do you want to marry bryan adams?

sunny successor, Saturday, 17 May 2008 05:07 (seventeen years ago)

I drove by Degrassi street last week, but I haven't had poutine in months.. I never wanted to marry Bryan Adams, no.. but I love to hum Joni Mitchell.

I just camped all weekend in Ontario's largest park, it rained from 2pm yesterday until long after I crawled into my tent at midnight, and snowed this morning... but once we'd all packed our tents it was sunny. Blame Canada.
