There were plenty of reasons that creepy thread got killed.

It's what you said at the ceremony before the 77 attack, when ILX was being updated. You gave a speech, it sounded like it wasn't the one you prepared. You said that ILX was a flawed creation, and that people still zing one another for petty jealousy and greed. You said that ILX never asked itself why it deserved to survive. Maybe it doesn't.

Since being rather lax about enforcing the rules set forth in the FAQ, every time we DO enforce them, a small set of posters immediately start setting about looking for explanations, blaming the mods for being either a. british or b. me, and asking stuff like "so if we do this with this it's ok?" So we decided that starting next week we're going to enforce the rules that are in the FAQ with more consistency, and Pash wrote a list of slightly more specific behavior patterns which are all basically described in the FAQ as was written years ago.

Basically if we'd not let the noize bored get away with all of this shit years ago we'd probably not be here now, is how I see it.
