Spanking fetishes have to come from somewhere. Thus the origins of
the fetish have to be either, nature, nurture or a combination of the
two. The trouble is, I just couldn't find any evidence of common
"nurture" patterns in regards to exposure to spanking in the spanking
fetishists I surveyed. One would expect that if upbringing contributed
to spanking fetishes, there would be some evidence of it, even in the
small sample that I gathered. But there wasn't. The group of 75 I
polled patterned no differently from what one would expect of 75 people
randomly selected sample of the general population. This led me to rule out
nurture, exposure to spanking in childhood or a lack thereof, as a possible
cause of the fetish.
With nurture eliminated, nature wins by default. There was
statistically significant evidence that female spanking fetishists
tended to be taller than women in the general population. As exposure
to hormones effects people's height, its plausible that the same hormonal
condition that leads to above average height in women also leads to
spanking fetishes. Anyway that was my reasoning.
For anyone who is wondering what I am talking about, it has to
do with the results of the poll of spanking fetishists I conducted
this past summer.
