They seem a little more circumspect today. 0/11 off 5 overs.

Still trying to sweep Chuck:

5.4 Muralitharan to Langer, FOUR, sweeps it down to fine leg
5.3 Muralitharan to Langer, no run, straight bowl, thats beats out side
edge
5.2 Muralitharan to Langer, no run
5.1 Muralitharan to Langer, no run, tries to sweep, misses it

On the sweep, what would you do in Hayden's shoes.
The shot brought him 500 runs in three test against Harbajin. Does he shelf it after one innings?

Hayden 50 up. 'Narrowly Limited' 32. Aus 0-89.

Tea Aus 1-112, Hades 58, Ponting 17, Langer out LBW to Jayasurija 32. Check out VoR on C4 to find out why it wasn't really out.

hayden's sweep is like Chappelli's hook. He gets enough runs from the shot each time it gets him out to keep ahead of his average. In other words, it's worth keeping. Just a matter of being more judicious as to which balls he hits.

Was Hayden using the sweep in second innings?
