Aus win toss and bat.

IN: Katich, Williams
OUT: Symonds, MacDill

1-43, Narrowly Limited Wozzie Legume out for 19. Meanwhile on C4, HHATSSOO III has already issued his first 'up yours'.

It is incredible to think that Australia won the first two tests with three blokes who did basically nothing. MacDill did get a few wickets in the second innings of the first test, but with a 191 runs to spare and Warne ripping through the line up it was not exactly a pivotal contribution.

powwow (powwow), Wednesday, 24 March 2004 07:05 (twenty-one years ago)

And Dossie gone for 25.

This story is beconming dreadfully familiar.

MArto out too. Caught behind off Vaas for 14.

Win toss, race to 150-250 all out. Bat sensibly in the second innings and score mountains of runs and then let Warne do the rest. At least it is an enteraining story tails.

'He Whose Arse....' etc is in a very testy state of mind tonight. Just got involved in a blue with JC (no, not THAT JC, STOOPID!) over the bang-up-to-the-minute relevant matter of the 95-96 Sheff Shield final, the highlight of which (so far) is He Whose Arse III calling JC a 'boring shit'.

If HWA was playing soccer you'd say he was in a Red Card mood...

"55.6 Vaas to Ponting, OUT: out side the off, ON the front foot and
drives it appishly in the air straight to Murali at widish mid off"

Maybe he means 'apishly'. No doubt Ponts made a right monkey of himself playing such a loose shot on the last ball before tea.

Fred Nerk (Fred Nerk), Wednesday, 24 March 2004 09:20 (twenty-one years ago)

Rush of blood from punter. Unforgivable off the last ball before tea & while in the nineties.

Big Dog (Big Dog), Wednesday, 24 March 2004 09:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Kat 1 in 13 balls. The last thing he needs is to give the selectors any chance to say 'I told you so' here.

NLWL fails again
Boof succeeds again

Fred Yeomans, Wednesday, 24 March 2004 11:17 (twenty-one years ago)

VoR must be getting awfully sick of the NLWL fails/Boof succeeds double whammy.

:)

ojitarian (ojitarian), Thursday, 25 March 2004 00:46 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah. The heart bleeds.

Fred Nerk (Fred Nerk), Thursday, 25 March 2004 00:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Put it in proper perspective, boys.

The HFFTB has now made more runs than Langer, Martyn, Katich and Gilchrist combined. In fact, if Punter had gone for under 10, Boof would now have more than the entire rest of the batsmen combined (his current partner excluded).

Waste of space in that team, isn't he?

tailender (tailender), Thursday, 25 March 2004 03:15 (twenty-one years ago)

Criminal how he has been treated by the selectors - should have played 60 or 70 tests by now. Then again, he isn't the first to have been treated poorly, and he won't be the last.

ojitarian (ojitarian), Thursday, 25 March 2004 06:31 (twenty-one years ago)

And to top it off he's just taken a wicket....

Fred Nerk (Fred Nerk), Thursday, 25 March 2004 09:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Legend. :-)

ojitarian (ojitarian), Thursday, 25 March 2004 09:24 (twenty-one years ago)

6 wickets, 300 runs. Sound familiar? So that means the score at the end of the third day's play will be Sri Lanka 8/500 odd (Boof five for?)...might be a good night to watch the footy then.

regards,

REB

Richmond v Collingwood rather than cricket?

You sick puppy.

tailender (tailender), Friday, 26 March 2004 07:11 (twenty-one years ago)

Today was depressing. Opening the Herald Sun up to be greeted with nearly 20 pages of AFL rubbish and the realisation that this amount of coverage will go on for months.

Wake me up in October...

Ross (Ross), Friday, 26 March 2004 07:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Anybody who opens the Herald Sun and gets depressed deserves what they get in the same way as somebody who walks out in the rain and gets wet.
