Not a bad side at all. I watched the first day while I was off work yesterday but I'm back at my desk now with the BBC scorecard on screen.

And another wicket goes..

Ste (Fuzzy), Friday, 21 May 2004 08:43 (twenty-one years ago)

thats the 300 for NZ now [now 307], not sure who is making all the runs as the BBC site hasn't updated. i would guess its Tuffey.

Ste (Fuzzy), Friday, 21 May 2004 08:53 (twenty-one years ago)

so its Cairns doing all the work, now at 323 for 6

Ste (Fuzzy), Friday, 21 May 2004 09:01 (twenty-one years ago)

yah another wicket gone, now 325 for 7

Ste (Fuzzy), Friday, 21 May 2004 09:09 (twenty-one years ago)

Tuffey and McCullum now both out but Cairns is still in and we could do with him not being there, now 338 for 8 so lets hope its over sooner rather than later.

Ste (Fuzzy), Friday, 21 May 2004 09:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes Ste I agree

Ste (Fuzzy), Friday, 21 May 2004 09:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes I thought you might.

Ste (Fuzzy), Friday, 21 May 2004 09:20 (twenty-one years ago)

and now the 9th has fallen.

Ste (Fuzzy), Friday, 21 May 2004 09:21 (twenty-one years ago)

We're mainly Aussies on here Ste, it's mid Friday evening in Melbourne and our local football has started. Which may be why you're not getting much of a response at the moment.

But you're welcome to keep posting, and doubtless somebody will respond. How did you find us - did you venture over from ILX?

Have you heard our Zimbo tour has been kiboshed? Means the bloke with the Julian Clary elbow will keep his record a few more months....

Fred Nerk (Fred Nerk), Friday, 21 May 2004 09:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Hi to all you Aussies! Yeah I hopped over from ilx, there didn't seem to be cricket thread for the NZ v E game there so i thought I'd just start it here.

Cairns is playing a blinder now 350

Ste (Fuzzy), Friday, 21 May 2004 09:31 (twenty-one years ago)

we could do without this, now roaring away at 371

Ste (Fuzzy), Friday, 21 May 2004 09:33 (twenty-one years ago)

386 and all out, at last. Cairns was having a bit too much merryment with his sixes there.

Ste (Fuzzy), Friday, 21 May 2004 09:43 (twenty-one years ago)

An impressive start for Englands batting partnership Trescothick and Strauss, currently at 72 for 0

Ste (Fuzzy), Friday, 21 May 2004 12:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Still going strong.. now 179 and still not out. Massive round of applause for Strauss here who has chalked up a wopping 83 already on his first ever test match. It would be sweet indeed if he managed to make his century.

Ste (Fuzzy), Friday, 21 May 2004 14:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Sweeter still if he did it for a losing English side . . .

tailender (tailender), Saturday, 22 May 2004 09:05 (twenty-one years ago)

good to see FoxSports showing the game live :)

Cleavy, Monday, 24 May 2004 02:26 (twenty-one years ago)

couldn't understand Channel4 (uk) on Saturday with their contstant interuptions of the game with racing, we missed so many overs.

And Trescothick is out already, gah!

Ste (Fuzzy), Monday, 24 May 2004 09:15 (twenty-one years ago)

Butcher has gone now, not looking too clever for England

Ste (Fuzzy), Monday, 24 May 2004 09:39 (twenty-one years ago)

welcome Ste ... although I can't understand what the words 'fosters' and 'magical' are doing in the same string.

pieman (pieman), Tuesday, 25 May 2004 04:38 (twenty-one years ago)

thanks.
Fortunately it's not a reference to the beer, it's my surname.

Ste (Fuzzy), Tuesday, 25 May 2004 07:26 (twenty-one years ago)

(and yah for england yesterday!)

Ste (Fuzzy), Tuesday, 25 May 2004 07:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Phurt!!!!!!!!!!!!

tailender (tailender), Wednesday, 26 May 2004 07:28 (twenty-one years ago)

Disappointed ++ by the Kiwi bowlers' performances in this series v the Poms. They've really let their batsmen down.

pieman (pieman), Sunday, 6 June 2004 12:48 (twenty-one years ago)

They lost to England. How does that make them a good side. Kiwi pretenders BAH.

regards,

REB
