No Ponts, for the first time in a long while no Tugga in a home Test, Matty Bignose back, Warnie's first home Test since The Ban, Boof officially installed as Oz's fattest VC since Rod Marsh, and, alas, we still haven't quite managed to get completely rid of MacDill.

Oh, and some other bloke will be missing for the opposition.

Your pontifications please?

I'm looking for News Radio ATM.

Doesn't seem to be on there either.

Nine has done a deal with the ABC so there will be no radio coverage, even on Saturday. Then ABC gets the cricket on Sunday and use of Nine's equipment. Pure evil.

P.S Good to see Pigeon back.:-)

Oh well: as a dedicated ABC listener cricket or no, at least it keeps the station sweet with its regular audience.

Do you think the ABC might regret caving in to Nein when the test finishes tomorrow?

Nopt a chance in hell that the pitch was made to the order of TGW, the ABC for to do a number on?

'Don't broadcast the Test and we'll let you televise Sunday.

Oh bother, what bad luck, no Sunday!'

Fred Nerk (Fred Nerk), Friday, 2 July 2004 09:06 (twenty-one years ago)

two weeks pass...
And TGW winds up doing another number on us last Monday, then shows a Clint Eastwood movie that's on every Christmas while the golf was kicking off Sunday evening.

At least the ABC has a regular schedule of programs during the day, which people rely on. But who cares whether a repeat Clint movie from around 1983 is on now or next week?
