The All Sci-fi Characters All Star Cricket Match - Who's useful?

Let's just say that an open cricket tournament is announced between the multitude of characters that TV and Movie Sci-fi has given us over the years. Who'd be a good player?

Data from Star Trek would obviously be a bitch of a batsman. Reactions like you wouldn't believe, good strength and excellent reading of the game. Star Trek would offer us other hefty delights, one look at William Riker just screams "bowlers shoulders" and who would go up against the tactical brain of Picard?

Star Wars characters who wield lightsabres would need little or no training to come up to speed with the bat although I'd imagine some sort of ICC kibosh on force powers, particularly the mind control stuff. Sarlacs and other large beasts from the series, such as the huge worm that emerges from an asteroid would probably be too big to effectively use on the field of play. For Mega-Cricketers I suppose I'd have to turn to Ed209 from Robocop, although I can see his action falling under suspicion far more than even Mulli's does.

Any ideas?

No room for Dave Lister from Red Dwarf?

Arthur Dent from the 'Hitchhikers Guide' at least looks the part. And the Vogon Guard should get in just for looking like Mark Greatbatch of NZ.

The fifth Doctor wore cricket gear, but was probably a bit too wet to play Test cricket. Then again, he was English.

How the hell has this thread picked up more responses that the whole board has since Sri Lanka?

Lister's got good hand/eye - as that episode where he potted planets into black holes shows, but I doubt he's got the discipline to maintain a high level test career, or the fitness (beer milkshakes etc).

three weeks pass...
If Boof can have a career as an International cricketer I don't see why Lister couldn't make a go of it.

Chewbacca would make a great fast bowler too, given his height.
And an even better umpire. No-one would dispute his decisions.

Rimmer could be the team Sourass Ganguly: the bloke everybody hates, who's not that good anyway.

The Master would make a good umpire at the next World Cup. Sure he'd sabotage the game, but it's the World Cup.

Davros. You could never get him out LBW, as he has no legs. Might be a touch slow in the field, though.

Ahahaha. Fat lot of good his Dalek hordes will do when the ball moves faster than all of them put together.

'AT-TEN-TION BALL! YOU WILL BE EX-TER-MI-NA-TED!'

'Boundary!'

'BUG-GER'
