How will we go in India?

There's been a lot of 'talking up' recently, so much that I'm beginning to think I must be a pessimist. Please tell me I'm wrong in thinking that, in spite of his ups and downs since returning from his operation, (a) McGrath could still have a battle, (b) Gillespie bowls well but without luck (c) Warne has to do something he hasn't done before in India, (d) the selectors can see more in Hauritz than I, (e) White has a future but that's not now, (f) Watson still has something to prove since his return,(g)Lee (nuff said)

So . . . . . please tell me I'm wrong and that India won't make 700 again.

h) MacDill is not even in India. That cancels out the worst of a) to g), although g) still does bother me.

g) is enough to stuff the entire tour.

G'day Tails. There's a bit of concern for your welfare on C4 after last night.

Will they pick Bing? I have this awful feeling that he may have done enough in the tour game. Having done enough is usually fug all in his case, though.

471/7. If we don't declare soon we might as well go home.

No need to declare - Bhajji gets some cheap wickets at the end. The Aussies lasted exactly 130 overs, so Ned Flanders will be happy.

Yep.

Er, Ned Flanders? The Aus captainy bloke? I don't have Fox so I can't see anything.

Cripes, he does look like Flanders. That's scary.

Fantastic start by the bowlers - McGrath 2-2-0-2!

Indians are in the poo big time!!

5/124

This is a Dubber test. McGrath is on fire, 3 now.

Do we enforce the follow-on? I say no. Grind 'em into the Mumbai dust and then set Pigeon and Warnie onto 'em tomorrow.

chrisso (chrisso), Friday, 8 October 2004 02:41 (twenty-one years ago)

The follow-on may not be an option at this rate. Patel and Pathan are doing it easy.

I wish Warne'd do his business.
