No, but the same accusation could be labelled at half the dubbers batsmen. Certainly seems that the selectors knew what they were doing when they dumped Jnr and kept Snr though, don't it?

He went in to bat a few times. Didn't get out for a duck (that I recall). May even have taken a catch or two.

Maybe time is finally catching up with him too. Wonder how interested he still is in playing. You have to lose the edge quicker when you know you've been at the peak, but those days are well and truly gone.

part of me has that sinking feeling that you may be right about MEW but if he was still in the ones I reckon he'd be batting a lot better. He should have pulled the pin after last season beause to me he looks more than a little disinterested and his powers of concentration are certainly diminishing...maybe he'll fire up at the business end of the season.

After all, unlike some, that is what the mighty Blues do.
