Poseiden (Poseiden), Tuesday, 25 November 2003 01:27 (twenty-one years ago)

3/45...it is great effort by them considering they are India and that they are playing the mighty vixen

horace, Tuesday, 25 November 2003 01:37 (twenty-one years ago)

horace be careful ...

pieman (pieman), Tuesday, 25 November 2003 01:54 (twenty-one years ago)

I always am pieman...India is playing terrifically well...tendulkar just actually hit the mighty speed demon - Moss - for a four

horace, Tuesday, 25 November 2003 01:59 (twenty-one years ago)

There are things that set champions apart from mere mortals, and the ability to spray the fence with Jon Moss's bowling is definitely one of them.

Fred Nerk (Fred Nerk), Tuesday, 25 November 2003 02:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Anyone else read the story in the OZ about bribery in the Indian team selection process. That would help to explain the rantings of some of Indian Wisden commentors who clearly seem to think that possibly the two worst keepers in Inida are in the touring party, and have also question the bowling line up.

powwow (powwow), Tuesday, 25 November 2003 02:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Notice Inness has two wickets. He needs another set of good numbers to stay in the running for Australia. The next new Australian paceman could still be him, but Damien Wright may have moved past him last weekend.

Fred Nerk (Fred Nerk), Tuesday, 25 November 2003 02:19 (twenty-one years ago)

I think Wright and Nicholson might both be ahead of him now.

They are both dubbers of course.

:o) @ Fred

pieman (pieman), Tuesday, 25 November 2003 02:56 (twenty-one years ago)

Strictly speaking, Nicholson isn't new, but no I handn't considered him.

Fred Nerk (Fred Nerk), Tuesday, 25 November 2003 02:58 (twenty-one years ago)

BTW, why is it "Victoria vs. Indians" and not...

"Vixen Crabs vs. Indians"

Poseiden (Poseiden), Tuesday, 25 November 2003 03:56 (twenty-one years ago)

because the vixen is an attacking team unlike WA

horace, Tuesday, 25 November 2003 04:14 (twenty-one years ago)

VoR says that even the dubbers can't argue with Inness being selected for the Tests after a performance like this

If this is the shape of the series to come, it's going to be a fascinating summer.

Especially sharing c4 with the rabid Indians.

Poseiden (Poseiden), Thursday, 27 November 2003 03:07 (twenty-one years ago)

Finally the Vixens have declared. 44 overs left in the day.
I guess we might see this as a similar situation that Australia will hope to have the Indians in when they play them. Let's see how they handle the pressure.
