Geoff Dymock - Maryborough
Ian Healy - Biloela
Martin Love - Toowoomba
Jimmy Meagre - Innisfail?
Matthew Hayden - Kingaroy

Has there ever been a half decent cricketer come from Brisbane?

where was Ray Lindwall born?

Ross Duncan, Rob Kerr, Martin Kent, and David Ogilvie; they were _half_ decent ...

Ray Lindwall was born in an extreme outer southern suburb of Brisbane, called Sydney. Mascot to be precise.

Oh, and Stewey the Ass is from Brisbane too - but you did say "half-decent", so maybe he doesn't count.

Peter Burge was from Kangaroo Point, which is just up the street from the Gabba.

Don Tallon (Bundaberg) and Carl Rackemann (Wondai) con both slot striaght into the Bush XI.

What about Craig McSofty?

CMcD is another of Ippy's finest.

He also has PH's red hair. I've no idea why I mentioned that.

Not an idea I needed, Fred.

BTW, you going to be there for the Test?

tailender (tailender), Thursday, 11 December 2003 09:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Presume you mean Melbourne.

Not for first two days (driving home from Sydney for Xmas) but hopefully will be there on the 28th.

Fred Nerk (Fred Nerk), Thursday, 11 December 2003 09:43 (twenty-one years ago)

If you haven't got tickets by now you'll want to get a move on, there won't be much left.

tailender (tailender), Thursday, 11 December 2003 09:47 (twenty-one years ago)

I keep forgetting they're rebuilding the MCG. I can't afford to spend any more money this side of Xmas so if I miss out I miss out. Shouldn't have any trouble, they don't often get 20 000 through the gate day 3.

Tugga's last series and second-last Test. Bound to be a big crowd. Hope you can make it, though.

Sydney will be worse.
